The Recording Academy has announced key dates and deadlines for the 61st Annual Grammy Awards. Music’s Biggest Night returns to Los Angeles’ Staples Center on 10 February 2019, Sunday, and will broadcast live on the CBS Television Network at 8pm ET / 5pm PT.


Nominations for the 61st Annual Grammy Awards will be announced in all 84 categories on 5 December 2018, and will honour the best in recordings released between 1 October 2017, and 30 September 2018.

22 August 2018: Online entry process closes


17 October 2018: First round of voting opens


31 October 2018: First round of voting closes


5 December 2018: Nominees announced for 61st Annual Grammy Awards


13 December 2018: Final round of voting opens


9 January 2019: Final round of voting closes


6 February 2019: Producers & Engineers Wing, Grammy Week celebration


7 February 2019: Music Educator Award Presentation, Grammy In The Schools Live!


8 February 2019: Entertainment Law Initiative Event & Scholarship Presentation, MusiCares Person of the Year


9 February 2019: Grammy Nominees Reception, Clive Davis’ and the Recording Academy’s Pre-Grammy Gala
