Lala Hsu from Taiwan performed two of her songs, ‘The Prayer’ and ‘From Now On’.

The Hong Kong Asian-Pop Music Festival (HKAMF) 2018 concert was held successfully on 23 March at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The concert was full of impressive performances by contestants, A-list singers and celebrity adjudicators from nine Asian regions including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam.

HKAMF 2018 invited contestants from eight Asian regions to compete for the three coveted titles of Asian Supernova Award, the Best Vocal Performance Award and the Best Stage Performance Award.  The organiser this year continues the ‘HKAMF 2018 Top Viewers’ Choice Award’. The audience and music fans everywhere were able to vote the recipient of the ‘HKAMF 2018 Top Viewers’ Choice Award’ using their mobile phone network in real-time.

The theme of HKAMF this year is Music in one Asia +. The great strides that the Asian pop-music scene has made in recent years are under the limelight all over the world. Given the opportunity of having Asian recording artistes converge in Hong Kong for performances and exchange of ideas, the organisers wished to unite the photographic industries from the various Asian regions so that the unique style and charisma of Asian music can be better understood internationally and that the strengths of Asian music are more widely known.
