The New Year should be the best moment to start afresh even though you may still be suffering from a hangover. As we ease our way gently into the second weekend of the year, KYO is sounding its weekend gong announcing its first headline of the week, EJ Missy, a female DJ and a self proclaim tyrant.
EJ Missy is known for her eclectic selections of techno and minimal house tunes. Showing off her decks around Singapore from Ku De Ta to Home Club and Zouk to Zirca, this Juice DJ Quest winner has been winning votes with her strict selections of dance music.
Singer, DJ, remixer and producer, DJ Rae is returning to KYO for another Rewind session this time supported by the club owner himself, Godwin P. Claimed as the godfather of Singapore’s dance music scene, Godwin P, has performed alongside DJs Dave Seaman, Darren Emmerson, Lottie, James Zabeila and many more over the years.
Known for their tech grooves and experimental visuals, Sound Love Affair (KL) and Tropic Lab (SG), comprise of three talented young soul, is also KYO’s resident DJs and VJs. They will be spinning liberating amounts of deep house to underground techno. They cite influences from DJs and producers such as Redshape, Rødhåd, Dixon and Âme.
